We bought a platform other buyers could not value, and had it live across 100 brokers within weeks
The business
Envisij is an energy monitoring and management platform first developed in Cumbria in 2014. It gives organisations real-time visibility of electricity, gas and water consumption through software analytics and optional hardware monitoring, with companion products Read My Tariff (tariff analysis) and Energy Map (site and meter mapping). By 2026 it sat inside Fuuse Limited, an EV charging specialist, as a non-core asset.
Why a book-only buyer would pass
There was no commission book and none of the customer contracts a broker acquirer usually prices. The value sat entirely in software, data and what a buyer could do with it.
Why Tritility bought it
Tritility had used Envisij for its own clients for years and knew what it did for consumption visibility, cost and carbon. With MHHS moving every meter to half-hourly data, an energy management platform stops being a nice-to-have. And Tritility had a distribution channel: more than 5,000 direct clients, 17,000 meter points and over 100 partner brokers with no comparable tool of their own.
The deal
Asset purchase completed 30 June 2026. Platform, companion products, brand and code. Several members of the Envisij team joined Tritility to keep developing it, giving existing users continuity. Envisij now sits in its own company alongside Tritility, keeping its identity and its existing customer base, with services extended to procurement, bill validation, metering, water and net zero planning under one group.
What happened next
- Rolled out across Tritility's direct client base.
- Offered free, fully white-labelled, to every partner broker, on a neutral login domain so partners' clients see the partner's brand, not Envisij's.
- DemandIQ launched on the platform: a capacity and charge recovery service that right-sizes agreed kVA and TCR banding before a contract is sold. Every Tritility sales consultant is trained on it.
- Brokers began joining the Tritility partner channel for the platform alone, some having never worked with an aggregator before.
What it shows a seller
If you own software, data, a tool or a brand, its value to Tritility is what it does across the whole channel, not what it earns in your business today. We will price it that way. We will also keep the people who built it.
